Our Humble beginnings
Adplants.com is the online presence of Umm Al Salsal Trading Flowers and Indoor Plants, a family-owned business nestled in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s Mina Flower and Plant Market. Founded in the early 2000s by the late V.A. Varghese, this beloved plant shop has grown into a cornerstone of the community, offering a lush oasis amidst the bustling city. Located in the vibrant plant souq of Mina Zayed, Adplants.com reflects the charm and tradition of its physical counterpart. The market, a hidden green gem amidst the urban landscape, is a testament to the dedication of its founders and the flourishing demand for greenery in Abu Dhabi.After the passing of Mr. Varghese in 2013, the shop continued to thrive under the leadership of his wife, Annamma Varghese, and their son, Arun Andrew Varghese.
Arun, a former software engineer with the World Bank, initially returned to Abu Dhabi with the intention of selling the shop but soon found himself captivated by the business his parents had built. Fastforward today, alongside his mother, Arun has transformed Umm Al Salsal Trading into a success story that combines tradition with modernity.
